Historically it takes about 2 weeks between approval and label delivery. However, this time can vary depending on the circumstances of the label's needs such as material availability and whether or not a new die cutting tool is required. We will always try to get a job out the door as soon as possible.
Our warehouse contains over 100 different specs of label materials. We try to keep a generous stock of the most common to get your labels done as soon as possible. 54# and 60# semiglosses with all-temp adhesives, white and clear BOPPs (polypropylene), a variety of polyesters, thermal transfers, and direct thermals, just to name a few. We purchase material from a variety of vendors, so if we don't have something specific you're looking for we can find it and bring it in. A supplier name and spec number is always helpful if that's the case! Material lead times vary wildly based on location and type, but we can usually provide an ETA within the day without any commitment.
The biggest factor for the flexographic vs. digital printing argument is usually quantity. Small runs are generally more economical to run digitally, and larger runs are more economical to run flexographically. Other factors can come into play too - digital YMCK printing cannot produce all the pigments neccessary to run certain PMS colours, and is also more limited with regards the the variety of materials we can use, for example. If you let us know your requirements we can determine which process is right for you!
Food and beverage, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, industrial, chemical, consumer and household products, shipping and logistics, and so on. If it needs a label or tag, we can help!
Adobe Illustrator CS6 files are the best although older versions of illustrator files are fine as well. PDF, EPS, XLS, and DOC files also work, but are not ideal and should be avoided if possible. JPGs are not always usable.
Please download and read our pre-press guide for more information regarding our artwork requirements.
Often this problem can be worked around by slitting down an existing die size. However, if you require a custom dieline - for example, a special shape - a new die can be ordered to conform to your specific requirements.
